| Where is music going? With ever-increasing budgets and tons of cash being spilled into aggressive media battles between record-company conglomerates, where is all this leading? Will true talent ever shine through?
One phrase i consistently hear at music biz seminars is "its not what you got, its who you know". This is certainly true for all mainstream music, but has spawned an ever-increasing online army of new-comers all gunning for attention by whatever means necessary, and taking on the music biz solo. Where is it all going to lead?
How will music change in future? Will the Internet change our music tastes forever? expose us to a wider variety or music or dilute the earnings of artists and bands?
Personally, I think the future is very bright and more and more people are becoming receptive to good music and developing their own unique tastes, but there will always be that element of "jumping the the bandwagon".
