Professional Vocal Training - yes or no?

What do you guys reckon about professional vocal training?

I know people like Victoria Hart and Lyla Foy went/go to Vocal Tech school and I really like them. But to my knowledge, people like Chris Martin never have had vocal training and are obviously far more successful. Do you think vocal training is worth the money/effort? If you look at people like the original singer from Killswitch Engage, yeah he only ever really screamed into a mic, but he never learned how to scream 'properly' and he ruined his voice and got replaced and they're now succesful - well in their scene anyway .

Basically I'm considering going for a one year diploma from Vocal Tech myself and wanted to hear from a bunch of music buffs as to whether it is worth my do$h or if I should earn dosh on a gap year instead? Lol. Anyone here been/going to vocal tech or just getting lessons somewhere? I'm already an accomplished guitarist and can sing alright but if I have serious aspirations to sing in the future should I go for this?

What do you think of the courses - any recommendations/thoughts? Singing Courses - Lessons - Music - Training - Vocal School - London - UK - Vocaltech - Victoria Hart - Your Music Your Future

Cheers

I'm also a guitarist and they have a guitar school in the same building so I've booked myself on the next open day to find out what the crack is!

I'll keep you all posted when I've been round the place!
